Mount Bohemia in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is a haven for advanced skiers, with over 280 inches of snow and nearly 1000’ vertical, it far out weighs any other Midwest resort in terrain and conditions. Bohemia can be compared to out west skiing because of its challenging terrain, steep, continuous pitchand powder producing microclimate.
But Mount Bohemia is less than 10 hours from Detoit, much closer than the comparable mountains of the west! We offer comfortable coach tours from Detroit and Lansing, with trailside accommodations or in town lodging in Copper Harbor.
So leave the driving to us and you’ll be fresh for the slopes, and back fresh at work on Monday. |

Mount Bohemia has the longest runs with the highest vertical and deepest powder in the Midwest. This hidden secret is a true treasure for backcountry skiers and riders. Bohemia is all-natural, and has no problem without snow guns. The average snowfall in the Keweenaw is 273 inches. The lake effect snow is dry similar to western resorts and accumulates as powder which is untouched because we do not groom. This makes for a great morning to make the first tracks! Bohemia's two new sections; the Outer limits has 100+ acres of inbounds backcountry skiing with 17 new runs even longer and trickier than before. Chutes, cliff drops and a half-mile wide forest will challenge skiers and riders as well as Pirates Cove on the north face guaranteeing the best snow on the mountain. |

and even a lift mechanic! During his time working on the mountain he has enjoyed helping people in their experiences with skiing, as well as being able to spend time doing what he loves: Ski!
Ever since he started skiing at the age of two, he can't wait to see those first flakes in the fall, and enjoys the snow to the last run in the spring! An avid powderhound, he makes regular trips out West and escapes to secret stashes in the Northcountry. So look to him for advice on where the "goods" can be found at Mt. Bohemia, as he spent last winter there in guest services and lift operations! |
